Had at the brewery this past Saturday, 9/17 from keg. Comes out super black with a brown head that fizzles a bit and falls to a ring.
Really great nose on this one, definitely getting the bourbon and barrel right upfront, some sweet boozy fruit and chocolate underneath. Flavor starts with a slam of sweetness, chocolate notes, middle is some fruits, hint of coffee, finishes with a vanilla and oak aftertaste, bit of bourbon.
Lighter in the stomach but still coats the mouth well, great body for such a low ABV. All in all this spent the perfect amount of time in the barrel, a well executed beer by Duvig.
