Got this one from Joris P and many thanks for giving me this one! Bottle should be 4-5 ears old. Wonderfull and lasting head and a beautifull bronze amber beercollor that's cristal clear with a good poorout. Nose is one of the strangest ever met giving you sour cherries bathing in good honeysauce and some wooden caracter with it. And that with an overall very carramellic maltbody. Yes this is something really fine though litle sharp sniffing but that only tempts the nose to take up more of this delicous aged brew. Taste is very dry and that with well dosed sourness and again with good cherries. With it a nice alcoholtouch and low bitterness to make this more then just enjoyable. Though aged some years in perfect shape and giving wonderfull and fresh mouthfeel, well balanced with still quiet high carbonisation. Magnificently drinkable and if I'll ever find one again won't hesitate to buy it right away. Highly recomendable if it's from some years ago cause the newer Mars/Martzenbier is ok but from different planet.

Copper pour wearing a thin off-white head. Aroma proposes caramelic malt, moderate yeastiness. Theres something oily going on as well. Fruity palate with earthy cranberries and cherries dealing with yeasty tones. Highly carbonated thin-medium body carries little off-flavors, almost vegetably, almost cardboardish. I must have missed something seeing the other reviews or this bottle was not in splendid shape, because there was nothing too interesting in there with more oxidation than youd hope for and a hard time finding anything related to flanders sour ales besides ever so slight woody suggestions.

Contreras Mars. 6.5%.
Full orange colour, a little muddy. Decent foam, with some big bubbles.
The smell is resolutely fresh. Good hop, present, but not too much. Lightly floral. Honey, cane sugar.
The taste is full, without being heavy. Very drinkable and fresh, and sweet, too. But it is a sweet that round the flavour, without heavyness.
Medium body. Some citrus notes, and ripe apricot.
