From the Boozebud Advent Calendar 2022, day 5. Drunk in June 2023.
L: Slightly hazy, golden-yellow in the glass with a thin cap of brilliant white head. Lots of carbonation is visible in the glass.
S: A slight lemony, yeasty note is present. No malt that I can discern.
T: An ever so slight watery note is prominent up front, joined by a lemony, floral hop note. No malt body is discernable and the finish is thin and soda-like.
M: There's a medium to light body at the point of taking a sip but the thin finish overwhelms the body of the beer. Carbonation is medium and carbonic prickle follows suit - I wonder if that carbonic prickle adds to the impression of soda in the finish?
O: A strong start in the visuals is let down by a relatively thin, underwhelming finish. It would be ok on a hot day, but there isn't a lot going for it otherwise.
Cheers!
