Very traditional but well done wee heavy - really nails those classic caramel malt flavors, robust and scotch-esque. Despite the name I am not surs if this barrel-aged at all, but there is definitely an oak / wood note which adds a nice depth note. Only knock would be it is a little thin but otherwise excellent.

I probably SHOULD rate this lower. But I can't. The bourbon barrel aging adds a HUGE aroma and flavor of bourbon, so much that some people might find it way too overpowering. And I guess it is. Some great sweet malty flavors in there are hard to pick out... but they do go well with the bourbon flavors. If you like your whiskey, you should really like this. If not, you'd better avoid.
