The coloring concerned me at first, as it came out more amber than brown, knowing that a weaker malt back would make the other flavors all the more pronounced, and I proven correct in my concerns. There are dessert beers out that there do a better job of letting you know that it's a beer with, in this case, cinnamon, maple, and pecan, as opposed to what really amounted to those three things fermented with some malts and beer yeasts. Some people will find the excessively sweet flavor with the approachable ABV to be a delight, but this beer drinker did not.

A traditional brown ale that has raisins & pecans added. You don't really pick up any aroma, maybe some very faint caramel malt but nothing from the highlighted ingredients. Does better on the tongue though, it has a pretty bland brown ale background but it really does a wonderful job bringing out the maple / pecan flavor you get from a sticky bun. It certainly isn't cloying or artifical, in fact I kinda wanted a bit more of that flavor, but I respect its natural subdued flavor. Good body, malty but not chewy or thick. If the aroma had more punch & some of the flavors were a tad more pronounced it could have been something special. Regardless, it still more than gets the job done & you could easily have a couple.
