Poured from a tall bottle into a Dogfish Head tulip
Billed as a "Milkshake IPA brewed with lactose. Then dry hopped with Mosaic and conditioned on passion fruit purree"
L: Nearly clear light golden pour with 2 fingers of fluffy white head. Solid lacing. Points deducted as it doesn't look anything like a milkshake IPA.
S: Sweet and fruity.. picking up the passion-fruit mostly.
T.F: Sweet and grainy up front. Strong passion-fruit... a little bit of citrus and fruit. Sticky and creamy on the tongue. Not much bitterness. 1-dimensional... more fruit at the finish.
O: An odd beer... sweets and passion-fruit without much else going on. Not terrible, but also much of a milkshake IPA.

Not sure what exactly this beer was going for - the name & the texture (which is admittedly light, smooth & creamy) indicate a new school NE style IPA, but the hop profile is pretty acrid & bitter. It is a jekyll / hyde type beer that doesn’t find balance. Robin Hood has been putting out real good IPAs - especially Blue Sky - but this is a whiff.
