More of a porter / dry stout than a black ale - it is missing that distinct cascadian hop note - but still pretty tasty. Lots of chocolate malt & creamy vanilla, cocoa powder, roasted malt...couldn’t really find much strawberry as the lable purports.

As per the brewery.. a Strawberry Cocoa Milkshake Black IPA
Had on-tap at the brewery poured into a tulip
L: Dark, dark brown pour.. nearly black. Hazy with thick foamy tannish head.
S: Cocoa and strawberry.. .smells delicious, like a dessert.
T/F: Follows the nose. Roasted grains... cocoa, strawberry and sweets. Balanced with bitter roast and hop bitterness. Well balanced... absolutely delicious. Creamy and fairly light mouthfeel.
O: An odd little beer but damned good. I've never had a black milkshake style IPA, but the strawberry and cocoa really worked. One I'd definitely go back for.
