this is a hip and funky spot that is doing some great beers, one of my favorite stops on our run through much of the local reno beer scene on this trip, really solid beers and some fun innovation, cool hang too, neat art, small and cozy taproom amid a pretty substantial brewing operation, looks well equipped for lagering, i see can bodies everywhere, and quite a few fermenters, a bit bigger than it appears from out front, which has just a couple of tables as a patio at the end of a sort of nondescript strip mall run. they must do some decent distribution around the area, we bought some pils cans elsewhere during the weekend. inside though its funky, arty, unique, and they have a killer beer list a dozen or so items long. i loved their pils, was stoked on a coffee kolsch and a turkish black lager, and also enjoyed a chili pepper ipa. the base styles were all solid, and many of them have a fun playful twist, i think they have a real good thing going on the beer side. the service was excellent as well, informative and kind, and this was a mellow spot to be even on a saturday afternoon, chill the whole time. i like the vibe, the beers, and the service, and will probably come back through here as often as i find myself in reno. check these guys out, unassuming but really good, especially the pils! lots of breweries in town, but this place stands out.
