a very affordable gold foil 500ml bottle, under four bucks, nice! never seen this one, or anything from this brewery before, based on so few reviews, it might be have real limited domestic availability. in any event, it tastes a little tired, like it took a long journey to idaho from the brewery, but i like the beer, its like a malty pils, a little richer and fuller, but with obvious german yeast notes and an old world dusty lager character, pleasant to drink with heavy greasy food like a big delicious reuben sandwich! some light oxidation here, some very fine sediment in the bottom half inch of the bottle, a short white head with a fast fade but lots of persistent bubbles rising up, just bronze tinted, still pale, but darker by a few shades than a standard pils type. its got some mild malt sweetness through it, but is equally flavored by the yeast. no more than bittering hops on the back end. nuances of red apple cider, multigrain healthy cereal, earthy minerals, and really has a nice autumn vibe out it. fresher this would be awesome, but its still cool to try, a little malty but still an easy drinker. i will look for more from these guys. great value here too!

Unsettling feeling in my stomach after drinking this specimen. Not bad overall, but can't let go of the feeling aspect.
