Tremendously cool place with great beers. Would like to see them opened more hours.

I'm working my way through each of the Indy breweries. I try to stop at a new (to me) brewery whenever I drive through town on my way from OH. I visited Outliers Brewing for the first time in April '15. It was a nice sunny day and they had all their doors open. As you can see from the picture I uploaded, this place is an old warehouse that is in the process of being converted, albeit slowly, to a brewery. My review is based on what I saw when I visited. I believe they have plans to turn this in to a decent place to visit, but that's a long way off. I can imagine the capital required to refurbish an old warehouse like this must be huge.
Walk inside the facility, and you see a couple of picnic tables set up next to "bar" that was really just a rickety metal table in front of what looked like a portable 8 tap system. (I think the tap system was part of a trailer that could be transported, but I can't be sure.) There was a sign on the "bar"/table that said "don't lean on this table." Which I almost did because, geez, it's a bar and that's what you do on bars! So, if you go, don't lean on the bar! The bathroom was a one-hole unisex. My wife is not normally one to complain about bathrooms, because we've traveled across Asia and seen some nasty places, but she let me know this one was pretty bad. A one-hole bathroom at a brewery that serves beer just doesn't seem like a good idea. Overall, the sub-par facilities killed the vibe for me.
The beers at this location are Outliers brews and Brugge Brasserie brews. (I had called the restaurant (Brugge) and asked if they filled growlers, and they told me no, I had to go to the brewery for that. I didn't even realize there WAS a brewery for Brugge. Now I know, and it's pretty cool that there is now a place where we can get beers like Pooka and Triple de Ripple.) The bartender told me Outliers and Brugge are owned by the same folks. There were 8 taps when I visited--5 for Outliers and 3 for Brugge. Bombers of Triple de Ripple were also available. I was excited to find those! Based on reviews by others of the Outliers beer, they appeared to be of average quality, so I passed on those. They did have a new pale ale, KQ 6T, made with a blend of hops called Falconer's Flight, that I filled my growler with. Very nice. The stunning thing to me was the price of a growler fill: $10 for a 64oz fill of Outliers beers. Wow! Easily the lowest price I've seen for a growler fill. I also filled a growler with the fantastic looking Pooka (American Sour made with boysenberries.)
Overall, I'm putting Outliers at the bottom of my list of Indy breweries. I know they have plans to fix the place up, so I will visit again in a couple years. Meanwhile, there are a bunch of nice places to check out that are within walking distance, so if you are in the downtown area, walk on over to Outliers and try a pint.
