This was one of the few drain pours I've had in a long while. This - even more than their red ale - was very heavy on the buttery diacetyl taste. It was like a nasty liquid buttered popcorn.

I received this from a Beer of the Month club which will go unnamed. I expect somewhat generic beers, to appeal to more people, and a few winners based on my personal tastes. I do understand that there are other beer styles that I just don't really like much, but this literally reminds me of a barnyard smell and taste. I hate to be to negative, but this beer was very off-putting in my opinion. To give a little constructive feedback, VERY earthy and grassy taste.

Drank from can. Beer tasted flat, but wasn't. Not impressed.
