basically a wheat ipa, good beer, but less impressive than other hoppy beers ive had from these guys, who seem to me to be well out in the lead in terms of quality beer being produced by this latest wave of new breweries. i dont even think its close. a frothy pale hazy straw colored body under a fluffy cloud of white head. the nose is all dry hops, some fruity notes in there from peach to apple to mango, but the wheat malt is a little big for it i think, especially in the taste. it crowds out the delicate hops, and i either want more of them or less of it, and im not sure which. its not way off, not out of proportion or anything, but it almost certainly would benefit from an increase in the hops. mouthfeel is great, creamy frothy in feel, dry and bubbly on the palate, i think it fits the style perfectly. i also think the alcohol strength is on point for the style, but it lacks the same distinction that the other beers they do all seem to have, that it factor. still really good ipa though.
