Canned 2021/02/17
Pours a med-large frothy foamy slight rocky head with med retention, a bit of spotty lacing, quite hazy pale straw color
Nose brings nice doughy cereal malt, grainy-sweet, plenty of straw and some lemongrass, other than the hint of lemon no other fruity esters, a bit of corn but no DMS or diacetyl, touch of cake batter
Taste brings more cereal mash, grainy-sweet doughy malt, straw, a bit grassy and some herbal floral hops with med bitterness, a little cracker with the cereal, lemongrass and touch of generic citrus rind, light fruity esters, little corn, dry crisp finish, crisp bitterness, med bitterness
Mouth is med bod, soft crisp lager, med foamy small bubble carb
Overall this was a solid Kellerbier, haze is fine for the style, nose had nice malt but no real hop, taste was on for both with a pilsner like finish, soft lager, no real off characters, even ones that are acceptable for the style, although a hint of fruity esters which might be from the hops though, I'm finding myself almost perpetually sipping it
