Im sampling a 32 oz growler filled at the brewery and poured into my snifter at cellar temperature. The beer pours a bright clear copper hue with fluffy bleached white head of 2 cm foaming up with an easy pour. This is a beautiful beer in the glass. There are no carbonation streams rising toward the surface.
The aroma is some green pepper vegetal notes and a bit of fruity melon notes. The nose isnt a punch you in the face hop hit and I do get just a faint whiff of caramel malt buried in the background.
The first sip reveals an average body with very fine and tingly carbonation that tickles across my palate after each swallow.
The flavor is much more bitter than I anticipated with some vegetal notes and a bit of resiny hit and then a fairly dry and astringent flavor that lingers long after each swallow.
I dont get any booze on this and the beer drinks very easy. This is a straightforward well crafted pale ale, that shows what it has up front and stays with it. A nice brew from a good brewery.
