Pours a slick pitch black with slightly thin head. Coconut is front and center on the nose and palate, seamlessly transitioning to the darker, roasty bold flavor you’d expect of an imperial stout. The coconut is present, sweet, but not overwhelming like many other stouts that aim for a specific flavor. The alcohol is there, but not even close to what you’d expect to taste for a nearly 12% brew. Smooth feel, excellent overall. This is a nice sipper, and I’m looking forward to trying it again some night soon.
