There is a black squiggle on the bottom of the can but it appears to be a misprint because there is no legible date code.

Appearance: It is hazy to the point where only a faintly foggy shadow is visible through the glass. It has a deep opalescence that makes the otherwise light gold body appear a bit darker depending on how the light strikes it. It has medium-short fluffy white head which fades out slowly and leaves excellent lacing on the edges of the glass. It is a good looking beer.

Aroma: It smells like wildflowers and a bit of orange zest. It has an orange marmalade aroma which is pleasant.

Taste: The wildflower character comes through very strongly and then the hefty orange marmalade character barges in. It has this residual citrus character that lingers on the palate which is full of lemons, oranges, and a bit of lime. These citrus flavors are very large and they linger on the tongue long after each sip. It is an impressive beer.

Mouthfeel: It has a very strong citrus bitterness which is a bit like drinking pure orange pith. This gives the beer a lot of character which is nice but it also hampers drinkability a bit by making it more of a slow sipper. This being said, the beer is very enjoyable to drink because it just feels like a high-quality beer at all times. It is very enjoyable to drink

Overall: This beer is loaded with a ton of citrus flavor and it has a lovely floral aroma which also manages to make its way into the flavor of the beer. This is a very hop-forward beer and it crams every ounce of hops onto the palate. I don't normally talk about the price of beer in a review because it is a review of the beer itself, but this beer feels more like a labor of love where the brewery is probably giving you more hops per ounce of liquid than the standard beer on the market. If they are not, then they have an excellent process for extracting flavor from the hops. It's just a really good beer.

I would definitely buy this beer again and I highly recommend it to those who might like citrus-forward Double IPAs, especially those with a bit more orange flavor. I will be looking for more beers from this brewery.
