I'm trying this at the brewery. It poured an opaque dark with tan head that left a very nice lace. The scent had hints of roast. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with chocolate and roast presence. The mouthfeel is lighter in body with good carbonation Overall it's a solid beer.

On nitro-tap 11/16/2014 at the brewpub, in Cranston, RI served in a US tumbler pint glass.
A: The beer is a deep dark brown color, with a short dense beige head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.
S: The aroma contains coffee, chocolate, roasted malts, some hops and some smoke.
T: The taste starts out sweet with a hearty and smoky malt character up front. Then some mildly sweet flavors of dark chocolate and black coffee come in. The hops presence is very mild as it should be in this kind of beer but still brings a good balance. The after-taste is slightly sweet and slightly smoky.
M: Crisp and smooth, medium body, light-to-medium carbonation, finish is dry and slightly sticky.
O: Tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, decent kick, good representation of style, this is a solid stout to drink for a long time.
