Introducing Baudelot Blanche: Baudelot Blanche is our take on a 1900’s Belgian Witbier (“White Ale”) spiced with bitter orange peel and coriander. After World War I, witbier brewers adopted a more modern approach using steel vessel and a two stage cooling process going from the coolship to the baudelot chiller prior to the fermentation tank.
Back then witbier was still produced using complicated & arcane mash procedures (ours takes 21 steps prior to cooling). The use of plenty of unmalted wheat & oats led to a velvety character and pillowy white head.

Had on tap at oec. Pours slightly murky, gold in color with one quarter inch head. Taste is big sour grapes, sour mix and honey. Light bodied, moderate carbonation, sour. Really good and sessionable sor.
