a blend of two year old lambic and a berliner from what i understand, on tap with a couple of other oec beers at goed zuur, who continues to set the standard in denver for rare and awesome wild beers on tap. this pours a dry hazy hay color under an inch of white head, looks relaxed but lively, and definitely glowing in the wine glass. the aroma here is awesome, strong fruity mineral forward white wine and new oak, with the mature bretty almost animal funk of the lambic and a cleaner, newer, more bright lemony lacto profile, gorgeously balanced between the two of them. i think its both crazy and awesome that these breweries like ducato and beersel would be okay with someone halfway around the world blending their beers, its a unique arrangement, and its cool how competent these guys obviously are, this is a wonderful blend, the best of old and new beer coming together, with gueuze-like complexity and a fresh acidic pop. carbonation pushes it quickly through waves of wheat malt, lemongrass and kiwi fruits, and sharp white wine, lightly medicinal in its funkiness at the end, but very dry and clean. this is a great blend, a super drinkable lambic type brew, and one worth getting into goed zuur to drink while its still around!
