Luminescence is a sour ale exploring the boundaries of our own greenhouse yuzu fruits. It is dry hopped using freshly grated yuzu zest and leaves from our greenhouse along with full cone flowers of Hallertau Blanc & Mosaic.

I am unsure what to think of this beer. I have never heard of loral flowers, but I have had a buddha hand. When I opened the beer up, I could smell the floral and the buddha hand. The beer did emit a pleasant hiss. The beer is 44 degrees and served in a tulip glass. The beer states it is a wild ale on the website, but it sounds like an IPA. The pour of the beer produced an off white head with fair retention. The beer dissipated slowly leaving no lacing on the glass. The head is a ring around the glass. The color of the beer is SRM 8 a medium amber color with dark golden hues. The beer is clear. I am going to base the appearance on an IPA it is a darker and the retention is weak.
The aromas of the beer are buddha hand, a massive amount of floral esters, toasted malts, grapefruit, barnyard funk, earthy, herbal, oranges, a hint of grapefruit, vinegar. and a biscuity note.
The flavors are major barnyard funk followed up with floral (like violets mixed with roses), grapefruit, biscuit, earthy, cut grass, grapefruit, pine, resin, toasted malt, herbal, oranges, a touch of fruit, and apple cider vinegar.
The mouthfeel of the beer is astringent and very crisp.
The body of the beer is medium, medium-plus carbonation, and full finish.
Correction, this beer is a wild ale with the additions of hops and other funky stuff. Umm not sure what I think of this masterpiece. The beer has these bright flavors with a crisp edgy finish. Honestly, I like this beer. I think the brewers push the envelope for this beer and it worked. I am thankful I got to drink this beer.
