Pours a very lightly cloudy golden color with a 3/4" white head. Pretty good looking lager stuff.

Aroma is run of the mill intensity in terms of lager yeast, noble hops and two row. Enjoyable and where it should be. Like this hits in all the most expected ways when you think American craft lager. Very reasonable.

Taste stays in the traditional lane as well. Not quite as dry as some lagers, not as thin, middle of the road maltiness, middle of the road hoppiness. Little in the way of hop flavor, just a light grapefruit rind PacNW traditional non proprietary hop like bitterness to it, probably in the 30-40 ibu range. Light but normal range of bready sweetness. All in all, its a slightly better than average craft lager. 4 pack came and went with the quickness even in off peak lager season (late fall/early winter).

Connecticut is like one of the least reviewed beer states for me. Glad we had a can drop of this in Reno. Craft rules.

L: Lots of white pillowy head sitting on a hazy straw yellow lager.

S: Barley and yeast. Tangy.

T: Pretty good flavor. The barley is delicious. The yeast adds a fun twist. Nice hop profile.

F: Sits well on the palate

O: They're really foamy. Sploders actually. My recommendation is to get them as cold as possible and have an overflow vessel on hand. Open it up, pour the extra foam into the glass, and drink from the can.

i keep loving these guys and this series, so sick it comes to idaho now, i will drink all of them! this isnt all that different from the original in that its only subtly fermentation forward, and here the hops, despite being part of what they are saying makes it unique, are just kind of mellow, faint pine, some finishing bitterness when its at temperature, but very balanced and drinkable beer, not wild to me on the yeast side, and not as hoppy as an india pale lager, which is what i half thought i was getting into here. the pour is epic, like this is so beautiful, high headed, white and three or more inches high, above the rim of the glass, or jar, that i pour it into, some light haze but no sediment, dead sexy, not too refined but also super pro. nose and taste with some generic hop character, wet earth and dry spice and some green grass just mowed, but not real different or interesting, trace pine. the malts are cereal forward and awesome, and even though this isnt wild from the coolship treatment or yeasty in a traditional lager sense, its the ferment that makes this special for me, that and the mouthfeel, which is so lively and fluffy and effervescent and dry, something to envy. i could drink a dozen of these, and while its not as different from the original as i thought it might be, it still felt like a delicacy and a rarity to drink, and i want six of them. overall wonderful beer, unique enough to stand out, but authentic and rustic too, not to be missed for the old school lager crowd or the india pale lager folks...

16 oz. can with no date.

Moderate pour yields a one (+) inch white head over a hazy golden body with some sticky lacing. Nose of grass, citrus, and bready malt with a bit of floral aromas as well. Taste mirrors nose fairly closely with a medium hop bitterness and finishing somewhat dry. Good feel and overall, I'm guessing this can has a bit of age on it as the American hops aren't as prevalent as I expected, but still a tasty offering from Connecticut.
Cheers!!!

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a lightly hazy, light to medium golden amber with a fine, two finger white head with great retention and solid lacing. Aroma of biscuit and bready malt, grassy and lightly citrus hops, lemon. Lightly floral with an intresting yellow layer cake character. Flavor is biscuit malt, grassy and citrus hops, lemon, honey and green tea. Grassy hop finish with some residual lemon. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. This is a very nice Continental style lager with English style malt and hops that lean to Czech noble hops, but with a bit more lemon (they say they use Northwest hops, but although the hops are quite flavorful, it does not resemble a classic NW hop bill). Excellent malt depth and the hops kept my interest. Great mouth feel and flavor for the ABV. Not sure this is a Euro lager, it's more like a pilsner with a hybrid of noble and the North American hops. I liked this quite a bit and much more than I expected to. I'm now very interested in trying their black lager if it shows up here.
