really dope beer, even cooler that its in cans and its in idaho, im going out there in a couple weeks and im freaking frothing about it, been a longtime fan, and i buy all i can of their stuff out this way but its limited. this is a berliner base, they make it sound on the back label of the can like its not boiled, a raw spon beer, jesus. raspberries dont change the color much, still blonde and see through and light but just skewed ever so slightly pinkish, pours with some head from the tight can but its gone instantly. my friend who knows my tastes well said this is for me, and he wasnt wrong. the pour is somewhat unimpressive but the aroma and flavor rule. some cheesiness to the nose but not juvenile, mature and funky, mixed fermentation to me, iodine and minerals and even salt, sour too, bacterial and weird, tang from the fruit contributes, some sweetness and almost raspberry leaf and stalk character comes in, so organic and real, rhubarb, white and red grapes both. the flavor is similar, although i like the nose better, a soda sort of front end, currant and piquant not ripe strawberry too, super vinous, canes and thorns and creeping dirty roots and the whole raspberry plant not just the fruit, pinot noir and thin skinned grapes, mineral spirits, light wood, oxidized lambic, is this a blend of some older stuff? its captivating, wholly original, and not fruit forward to the extent that the ferment being in display is at all compromised. more carbonation would do this well but the acidity hits so clean. way cool expression of the fruit and its whole plant too, and musty and wild and old at the same time. im going to go hard when i finally make it to this place, a pilgrimage of sorts, stoked out of my gourd for the trip! what this lacks in textural refinement at the end of the day it more than covers for in uniqueness and authenticity, if you see it, but it, it rules!

This one pours a light murky pinkish color, with basically no head or lacing.

This smells very vinegary, with white wine, must, and lemon.

There's really very little raspberry character in here. I don't really know what happened here, but it's just a purely vinegar bomb. There's a bit of lemon and some light cheap wine like-character, but this is just overall not all that enjoyable.

This is light bodied, with very little carbonation. It's hard to drink.

I usually adore OEC beers, but this is definitely a miss.
