L: Pours a pale to deep gold with a light haze (I didn't really let this one settle in the fridge so mileage may vary on the haze). A gentle pour gives a half finger of fine, white head that dissipates almost immediately to a 2 mm ring around the glass leaving a very light spotty lacing as the beer goes down.
S: The nose is not terribly pungent, but has a bit of nuanced complexity. I am getting limes, white grapes, woody funk, and a good amount of yeast character.
T: I get sour lime, currants in the form of a bright acidity and restrained sweetness, and light notes of both white and red grapes. The backend and finish present some nice oaky funk.
F: The beer has a light to medium light body with medium carbonation. The mouthfeel is soft with a bit of vinous quality on the back end and a moderately dry finish.
O: I love this stuff. I just wish it wasn't so expensive. This one has a nice balance between the fruit, base beer, and the barrel qualities. Highly recommended!
