Our Germany style Pils is brewed with European pilsner malt using a traditional step infusion mash. During the boil it is hopped using German Tettnang and Spalt Select. After the boil it resets in our copper coolship for 1 hour and is then transferred over our baudelot cooler. It undergoes a cool open fermentation for 9 days using a classic pilsener yeast. It is cellared cold for several months prior to packaging.

Cloudy yellow body with a finger of eggshell white foam, dotted lacing. Smells of lemongrass, southern biscuit, and floral yeast. Taste has lemon, other vague citrus with grass and vegetable hops with bready yeast, baguette tones even. Hops and yeast felt most, good balance though by the finish with airy and lush textures while staying very light, artful. Would be perfect in early summer

A: crystal clear; straw colored; a 1 finger finely pored white head that receded quickly to a wispy cap with a moderate tight collar; no lacing;

S: slightly sweet; grassy;

T: slightly sweet; floral; no real bitterness until the aftertaste;

M: medium bodied; moderate carbonation; moderately dry finish;

O: in my opinion, this is a little too sweet for a pilsner - needs more bitterness to balance that;

4 cans on 4 separate days, and I never enjoyed this Pils. Cans were bought cold and quite fresh. Could be the foeder-added flavors that seemed a bit 'funky', but it had too much going on, and the mouthfeel & finish were oddly a bit cloying and neither clean nor refreshing.

This piss is marginally better than Bud light. Except it's a touch sweeter and 3x as expensive. AVOID!

Brilliant clear light gold color, with a thick head. The nose offers quite floral hop notes with pleasant malt. Taste is a tad grainy, but with a good bitterness and excellent flowery hop notes. Light bodied with a smooth texture. This is really an exceptional pils, and it's crazy how hard it is to find a good pils these days, when no one wants to make traditional styles anymore. I would rank this up with Real Ales' Hans as one of the best pils available here in Texas.

Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a clear golden color with a one finger head of puffy white foam. The head fades quite quickly, leaving just a trace of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is mainly of a grainy malt and very light caramel smell, mixed with notes of light herbal hop and a touch of straw.
Taste – The taste begins with a nice grainy malt flavor that is paired with a touch of caramel and some light fruit of a pear and apricot nature. There is also a very light herbal and floral hop flavor that persists throughout the taste, adding a nice backdrop accent to the taste profile. There is a bit of an increase in the graininess toward the end of the profile and with a light hay flavor developing an overall rather crisp and clean taste is left on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is light and crisp with a carbonation level that is moderate in effervescence. For the style the feel is nice and makes for a refreshing drinker.
Overall – A rather nice pils. A little on the sweeter side, but overall, very balanced and clean.

I enjoyed this one on tap. It's fruity and floral, with a nice blend of new school hops on the nose and especially the sip. Interesting, unexpected, tasty.

Picked up a four pack of pint cans. Canning date: 02/02/2022. Not the freshest batch, hopefully it does not impact anything.

Pours a crystal clear straw in color with hints of copper and a lovely finger-thick, white, creamy head atop that has good staying power. Carbonation looks lively and there is a good amount of lacing as you drink. Looks refreshing and well made.

Aroma is sweet, bready and floral with lemony citrus, some herbal/earthy/spicy notes in there as well and a touch of soap. Quite pungent and very fresh smelling.

Sweet grains and butter up front with a hint of cracker and corn. The hops are always present but shine most towards the swallow. Lemon rind and fresh cut hay with some herbalness. Finishes with a lingering sweet corn and lemon on the tongue. Excellent balance all the way through with the hop bitterness coming out on top in the end, keeping this from being overly sweet.

Mouthfeel is light bodied but buttery with excellent, velvety carbonation. Pretty dry on the swallow, but not overly so. A great session beer.

Wow, I'm impressed. This is high quality stuff, an excellent homage to its European roots, and it does them proud. I'm surprised how fresh this tasted having been on the shelf for five months, it does not seem to have impacted it much if at all. I had never even heard of this brewery, but I'm a big fan of pilsners, especially when it's hot, and this is a very good one. I look forward to trying out more from this brewery. Cheers!

Canned: 02/02/22

L: Pours a straw to pale gold color with very good clarity. The pour gives two fingers of pillowy, white head with excellent retention leaving a beautiful ringed and webbed lacing on the glass as it goes down.

S: Grainy malt character with a bit of bready character presenting as well, herbal notes, light citrus, and a very light noble hop spice note is present as well.

T: Following the nose I get both grainy and bread crust malt character, big herbal notes presenting fresh cut hay mixing with lemongrass, and a peppery and earthy noble hop spice. This one has a nice medium-high bitterness that overwhelms any residual sweetness coming from the malt bill.

F: Light body leaning towards light-medium with a nice medium carbonation. The mouthfeel smooth with a nice dry finish.

O: I really like this one as it is in the vein of northern German Pilsners being more hop forward than Bavarian examples. It reminds me of a more rustic Jever Pilsener. At just over 4 months old this one has held up like better than I would have expected. I would love a chance to get this fresh off the canning line. Highly recommended!
