This one pours a fairly dark brown color, with no head or lacing.
This smells like black cherry, molasses, port wine, leathery funk, and caramel.
This is quite tasty, but not quite as good as the regular Cuvee de Gorgoroth. It’s got just a hint of tartness, earthy-like, with a dusting of molasses, sherry, port, dried cherry, raisin, and a touch of caramel. There’s also a touch of bourbon character, naturally.
This is medium bodied, still, slightly syrupy, and a little bit boozy.
All of these beers from OEC are so fascinating and so unique.

Foggy reddish-brown with no head, as intended--it is not carbonated.
The nose is seductive of rich, nougatty caramel and dark fruit characteristics that lean towards port.
However, the palate is sweeter and quite stunningly heavy in the prune direction while accented by some bing cherry. Though the exhale subtly brings up some char, Tootsie Roll and mild black pepper, it takes some work to get past the prune juice characteristics that dominate the front 3/4 of the experience.
That it’s a still beverage is fine, but being lighter of body, it legit feels more like juice, which is only encouraged by the prune flavor.
Though a commendable pursuit, it's quite difficult to fully appreciate in the face of such masterfully barrel aged and blended modern conceptions of #life that we enjoy today out of breweries like Revolution, Bottle Logic, Cigar City, et. al.
