Slate black body with a khaki cap, thick bands of lacing. Smell and taste are the same: emblematic of style with deeply roasted malts with baker’s chocolate and licorice standing out from the depths. Medium light bodied, roasty and smooth, frothy by the finish

This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a small head, and a little bit of lacing.
This smells like roasted malt, licorice, dark chocolate, and coffee.
This feels spot on and brewed well, with a nice roasty maltiness to it. There’s licorice, tobacco, dark fruit, and lots of chocolate, as well.
This is medium bodied, sweet but not overly so, with a great drinkability.

Chocolate-y, oaky stout with a nice viscous mouthfeel, roasty, some bitterness, moderate astringency from the barrel-aging. Overall, really nice

Had on tap at the brewery. Pours clear, dark brown in color with one quarter inch head. Taste is big chocolate malt, roasted malt and slightly charred bread. Heavy body, moderate carbonation, slightly bitter. Excellent for style. Not an everyday beer but delicious.
