This one pours looking very uncarbonated, still and flat, tinted dark brown, with no head or lacing.
This smells extremely fruity, candied cherry and prune, with some bourbon.
This is probably my least favorite iteration of this. I usually love it, and maybe I just need to have this batch open for a bit longer. It’s extremely fruity, almost cherry cough syrup like, with a distinct tartness on the back end. There’s not much in the way of rich malty goodness, just fruit.
This is thick and syrupy, with no carbonation. It’s certainly a slow sipper.
I wanted to enjoy this a lot more.
