(from the website) British Style Bitter … Third Sally is our interpretation of a British Bitter brewed with Maris Otter & a touch of crystal malt. It pours copper in color with a fluffy cream colored head. Third Sally is hopped exclusively with Challenger hops giving it notes of orange peel, green tea & cedar…

Pours with an insane rocky white head over a slightly cloudy amber body. The foam takes forever to fall and leaves a massive amount of residue on the glass.
On the nose there are sweet, bready malts. Herbal notes, tea, a tad bit of citrus and a resin note like cedar...it's very nice.
Very tasty. Slightly sweet and bready but the sweetness is counterbalanced by a mild bitterness on the back end. Toasted biscuits come to mind. There's a little caramel. Grassy and herbal with a little citrus - orange, I think. Then there's a green tea thing going on and a nutty character. I do get some aromatic resinous notes - reminds me of today's walk in the woods thru pines and cedars. Very faint spiciness and vague fruity esters.
Medium bodied, lightly carbed, slightly dry.
I like this beer and the more I sipped the more I liked. I like the flavors and the amount of flavor in a lower ABV beer. It makes me think of the phrase beer is meant to be enjoyed convivially amongst friends. I see where this lives in the beer universe - flavorful, lower ABV beer where you can sit around with folks and gave a couple or three and not worry about inebriation. I think it's well done.

Drinking out of a medium snifter.
Pours a clear reddish-orange with a medium head.
Smells faintly of caramel.
Thin mouth feel.
Malt forward. Tastes of caramel.
But somewhat weak and disappointing.

Can says "Pro #2026" but no date
Pours a large foamy pillowy and rocky 3 finger head with moderate retention, messy lacing, hazy honey orange color, almost like it was poured off a beer engine
Nose brings some sweet malts, toasted and a bit biscuity, herbal leafy noble U.K. hops with some citrus and general fruity esters underneath, a mild sweet fruit salad note, a little yeasty bread dough
Taste starts with more sweet malts, a hint of caramel, more toasted biscuity like, maybe brown sugar as well but not overly sweet, maybe a bit more sweet than I was expecting, then into the leafy herbal U.K. noble hops, a bit grassy and earthy, some forest floor even, med to lighter bitterness, fruity esters underneath with more generic fruit again, semi dry finish with more herbal earthy slight spicy hops
Mouth is med bod, med to a bit lighter carb
Overall pretty good, nice malts in general although a bit sweet, good noble UK hops, nice fruity yeast esters, enjoyable

Not bad at all. OEC beers can be hit or miss. This one is pretty good and close to style.
This ale has a rich amber color with generous white foam. The aroma is very elegant, perhaps too light. The taste is very nice and refreshing. Light maltiness and light hoppiness. Again, perhaps too light compared to a regular British Bitter.
A solid 4-pointer.

Bitter like that babysitter you had who was in her 40s, without kids, and single. And because of that bitterness, she took it out on you and your sis. She’d hog the N64 and take away your super pretzel privileges if you looked at her the wrong way. Now, she had a nice set of cans. And she would let you stay up late every now and then when she got too high and didn’t care anymore. This babysitter... That’s this beer to me.
Dream a little dream, my children.

OEC Third Sally 4.0% half quart poured at 55 F into a glass. Big head over light amber liquid. Taste is pretty true to style, but lacks somewhat in body and distinctive hops. A fairly lackluster try from a highly rated brewery. Personally I prefer Montauk Driftwood Ale, which has a higher ABV, but also delivers a bigger malt body.
