Poured into a Gulden Draak tulip. Pours a lightly hazy, medium to dark orange with a fine, one finger light khaki head with great retention and solid lacing. Aroma of caramel and candi malt, Belgian yeast, ripe light stone fruit and a hint of clove. Flavor is candi malt, Belgian yeast, apple, ripe apricot, light caramel, a hint of citrus and black pepper. Medium bodied with moderate creaminess, nice mouth feel. A well brewed domestic tripel with the basic malt and yeast character. A bit more light citrusy notes and less clove and coriander spice than continental ones, but decent bitterness in the finish from the spicing. I liked the hints of caramel, which were faint enough to not be out of character. Both mouth feell and color were quite nice and inviting. Nicely done.

12 oz bottle, from a four pack.
Outdated bottle, "Packaged 3/22/22" stamped n the bottle
Nice looking pour, soft auburn, fine froth and silky lacing, yeasty final pour.
Spicy sniff, with pepper and apricots.
Again spicy on the palate, with yeasty phenolics in full evidence. Again pepper, again apricots, and yes Belgian yeasty goodness, nuts and peppery spice all over the finish. Not sure why this was freshly on the shelves over a year after it was bottles (and a good value at $9.99 for the four bottles), but i'm not complaining, as this is a tasty and heady treat....Fine USA take on the classic style.

12oz bottle from Half Time. Dark golden pour, cloudy, wispy head. Yeasty, buttery aroma. Taste is savory, yeasty, malty, sourdough, buttery. Even at 8.8%, it's got a strong feel to it. Nice weight and feel.

This is a really nice tripel. Had a flute on tap at Heights Tavern uptown. Rich nose, medium body for the style, complex flavor with notes of earth and wood, maybe a hint of wild yeast, lingering funk. Highly recommended.

On tap at The Locksmith Bar, a generous sample glass shared with my wife. Dusky gold in the dim bar light with a nice head of what looks like off white. Nose is has a bit of non traditional elements showcasing bubblegum and light fruits. Nice combination of wheat and pilsner malt. Taste is much like another of my favorite American tripels. Captain Lawrence's Xtra Gold. solid malt base with very big hops. Lovin' it. Feel is crisp and supple. Drinks like a dream, Gone too fast. Will update this when I go back for a full glass. Yum
