This is my second offering from Dyckman Brewery, having previously enjoyed their Pilsner.
On tap it poured a golden straw color with a moderate foam head. It dissapates and left a wispy crown and soapy lacing.
The nose is not so IPA like in that there is a buttery, toffee and burnt caramel that I associate more with English ales or scotch ales. There is however, some light citrusy tones.
The taste is at first buttery and raw grain. It is malt forward without sweetness. Soon, the flavor and feel become drier and with a stronger hops profile; I'm thinking a touch of pine and citrus. The body is on the light side of medium.
As compared to the other Dyckman brew I had, this one did not hit the spot as much. It is a light drinking IPA whose flavors seem a bit off for the style.
