This scandalous mix of Australian Galaxy and Ella hops produces a heavy-duty, late-hopped ale with notes of citrus, mango, and melon, bathed in hints of pine, and bubble gum undertones. Not meant for the faint of heart; a long and intensely bitter experience.

It took a seriously hard pour to get a proper head out of this one, but I have rarely seen such an impressive wall of lace. Subdued nose with really understated grapefruit/orange hops and a wee dose of malt. More malty to drink, bitter grapefruit, some pithiness. Melon as it warms up. Again, quite understated compared to similar brews. Doesn't really stand out for me after looking so sexy. Pretty average beyond its looks.

Pours a nice looking lightly cloudy amber colour with a tall fluffy white head which fades moderately slowly. Aroma is not bad; promises of hops but not much in the citrus or mango department as the label has promised. The taste ... is hoppy, but also disappointing. Bitterness yes, and pine, but few of the nicer flavours were coaxed out of these hops. No dank, little in the way of citrus, mango, or melon as promised. The sweet malt backbone is decent, if not with a slightly metallic tinge. Mouthfeel is less than full & smooth. Happy to try it, but it's a one off.

Hazed golden orange, near 2 fingers of white head and good lace. Smell has a nice hop profile, citrusy at first followed by some dank, pine needle and a light bit of weed like aromas as well as a faint but present mat. Taste is bitter up front, dank pine mostly with a bit of citrus fruit namely mango into the finish, a light malt sweetness mid palate, dry into the finish. Medium carbonation, quite prickly, medium bodied. A nice if somewhat unremarkable IPA, fairly easy drinking.

A - Bright and clear orange/amber colour with a thin layer of eggshell coloured head.
S - Citrus, pine and a touch of caramel sweetness.
T - Tastes exactly as the nose indicated: grapefruit, pine and orange notes pack a big bitter punch. Very little, if any sweetness from the malt base.
M - Medium body. Somewhat creamy. Light carbonation.

An old school IPA with an assertive bitterness and some malt backbone. I like a little more late/dry hopping.
