A:
Pours a hazy pale straw with lots of carbonation and an immense cloud of chunky white head that uneasily settles to two fingers. Great retention; scattered spots of lacing. Nearly as good as could be. (4.5)
S:
Pizza dough, light floral aromatics, dead lawn, citrusy hops, black pepper, vanilla. (4)
T:
Hay and flowers, some citrus rind, doughy/spicy yeast; rustic, peppery, slightly herbal finish. (4)
M:
Medium plus body with active carbonation, a smooth feel, drinkable, little aftertaste. (4.25)
O:
Tasty hopped-up hefe.
It looks lovely in the glass. A little too active to pour easily. With a proper glass it would be better. Both the aroma and flavor lean more to the wheat beer part of it than the hoppy part. Lots of rich bready, rising dough character. The hops dry it out a little and impart some complimentary sweetness to the nose. It is very drinkable and enjoyable.
Would have again; worth finding if you like hefes and/or hoppy beers. (4.25)
