On tap @ the brewery....pours a lightly hazed pale gold with a small white cap....aromas of sweet grains and a herbaceous earthiness...very mild pleasant nose to it....rounded balanced character with a silken mouth feel and mild malty character....flavor has the malt mix up front in perfect balance with the earthy-woody hops...goes to a wet, clean balanced finish with a nice honey-like kiss at the end...very satisfying and drinkable a perfect session ale with lots of body....I was told this was the first in a series of single hop brews using the new local hybrid "Crystal" hop which is a Hallerteau hybrid...I loved the noble hop character to this ale...almost like a full bodied malty kolsch with more character to it.
