Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of roasted malt notes with some strong bourbon notes with woody notes also perceptible. Taste is a mix of strong bourbon notes with some roasted malt and black chocolate with very little residual sugar notes and some woody notes. Body is full with good carbonation with some alcohol being discernible. Old school imperial stout with some very dominant bourbon notes.

On tap @ the brewery...my sample said it was aged 2 years in Bourbon barrels....poured a deep black clouded viscous ale in the glass with a 2 finger mocha colored cap that lasts out the drink....aroma is complex with pungent aromas of cocoa, grains, herbs, musty wood and bourbon mash....has a rich oily texture and a roasty-boozy character....flavor has the cocoa-roastiness in front with a woody-musty-bourbon amalgam as an undertone...long wet finish with some bittering showing through, then an intense warming after...covers it's alcohol in the flavour and aroma but it shows up only as a warm after glow...very nice barred RIS that will get you fvcked up if you drink 4 or more
