Lightly hazed blonde colour, ring of white head and a little lace left on the glass. Smell is quite heavy on the red wine and oak, fairly fruity throughout, lemony, certainly some berries as well though the base raspberry isn't a standout on it's own, there is a bit of over ripe blackberry and cherry as well. Raspberry is more noticeable in the taste, red wine with a drying oak mid palate before finishing with a sweet raspberry aftertaste. Lightly carbonated syrupy medium body. Overall this is just OK, the nose was promising but the taste is a bit one dimensional lacking any real depth, still worth a try.
