Hazy brown orange color with a swampy light tan viscous head. Smells of sweet flavorful malts with a smokey sausage background.
Taste is strong fruity malts upfront with a well balanced flustering of smoke and hops. Notes of roasting meat and charcoal, with some roasted grains as well. Mouthfeel is particularly good, creamy in the mouth spotted with medium carbonation and medium drying hops.
Started to get a little bored of the smoked meat taste after awhile however. My first smoked beer. I'll be excited to try more.
This is apparently the same as Rogue's "Smoked Ale" made for consumption in the US.
