Born in the spirit of hop experimentation each brew will have a fresh blend of unique and intense hop varieties with a uniquely colored label signifying each new hop blend. This first batch (green label) features an equal contribution of Citra, Simcoe, and Amarillo.

This has a bottled date of late July, so it's not to be considered fresh in any way. The bottle notes "Earthy, Tropical, Refreshing" and the first two do describe the aroma pretty well. Even after all this time it carries the earth and fruit notes and is not powerful but pleasing. The bitterness is subdued and short lived making it nicely refreshing. Seems like it has enough body and malt to be closer to an APA , but it's hard to discount and IPA. Rather cloudy and murky looking and a rather short lived head even with a somewhat aggressive pour. The earthy flavors are mostly good, but at only okay at times too.
Due to the date I got this pretty cheap. The age may have hurt it some, but I don't think this score is that far from what it would be fresh.

Really enjoyed this. Thought the nose was a little lacking so I worried it would be bland but it was an awesome punch of tropical hops. Well done.

Banks first IPA is amazing! Uses Simcoe, Amarillo and Citra hops in equal portions in the kettle and whirlpool. If you haven't tried it, you need to seek it out.
