I found this IPA to be VERY lacking for no matter what style of IPA you try to fit it in. They admitted to using very little hops, not really fitting the usual profile for an IPA. There was little to no nose on the beer, little to no bitterness on the beer and the grain profile was just full on crystal 40 flavor and nothing else. After asking the servers/bartenders what hops they put in it for bittering and aroma, not a single one knew what variety they used and for what...all I got was "we sell a bunch of it and most locals like it". Unfriendly clueless arrogance is the best way to describe their staff, needless to say. The Pale Ale was actually more bitter and flavorful than the IPA, but was still a bad example of a Pale Ale. I couldn't help but be disappointed with the 3 times I visited Swamp Rabbit and don't really think I'll ever go back again, despite the fact that I drive by it almost daily. I'd much rather drive 15-20 minutes to Thomas Creek or Quest to quinch my thirst!
