A: The beer is clear and very dark red in color (brown when viewed from afar). It poured with a short off white head that died down a bit but consistently left a layer of bubbles covering nearly all of the surface.
S: Moderate aromas of sour cherries are present in the nose along with hints of oak.
T: The taste is a near mirror image of the smell, having sour flavors of cherries along with hints of oak from the foeder barrel aging.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and rather tart on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I found this to be a very good sour ale that ranks up there with some of the good Flanders Red Ales from Belgium.
