not sure if there are various fruited editions of this one, or if there is only one beer by this name, peaches and pineapples apparently, possibly nectarines too, but for me, the pineapple is the real takeaway from this delicate but robust sour golden brew. there is a ton of pineapple here, tasting fresh rather than juiced or canned too, and well ahead of any other fruit that is in here, peach or nectarine or both, sweetness in the nose and some fleshy richness in the flavor from them, but the pineapple is really what i taste. good acidity, white wine notes, and bacterial pucker all at work here with the sweet pineapple. i wish there was just a bit more carbonation propelling this, but i like the flavors a lot, and i think the sourness and the pineapple go great together. there is a nice woody element here as well, hard new oak, the fruit loves it. council has really impressed me almost every single time i have had one of their beers. i wish i could find them a little bit more readily. this was excellent, near the head of the class of pineapple beers, which is oddly a much bigger group than it used to be...
