Clear precisely golden color with plenty of foam in the tall PIlsner glass. Sprightly and prickly in the mouth. Light body with a malty shadow though you wouldn't call it sweet. The aroma is nutty with a citrus note. The brewery says it is dry-hopped with Mosaic and Mandarina Bavaria.
Some lime peel in the taste with a hint of tangerine. Moderately bitter, and really something not quite astringent but hints at woodiness. Maybe we're on to something with these "Brut" IPAs. Here's another one that's perfectly drinkable, full of flavor, and less of a head-banger than so many contemporary IPAs. From the 32 oz growler filled at the tasting room on the mesa.
