this is pretty bad, on tap at one of the casinos up in deadwood, really unimpressed with it. looks okay, small off white head on a clear light copper colored beer, nothing wrong there. it smells metallic and stale, like the last pour of a keg thats been sitting around awhile, but the bartender assures me there is plenty of beer in it. not oxidized or infected from what i can tell, but off in a similar way, like the yeast didnt take quite right, or like it was fermented so warm that it got all messed up, but the weird flavor in this is hard to place as it is relatively new to me. in addition to the lackluster execution, the recipe also seems to be lazy or uninspired or both. almost no body to it, no depth on the malt side of things, and no hops to speak of. its flat in the mouthfeel and very very thin. i couldnt get through one of these, so hoping its an issue of dirty lines or old beer or something. hard to imagine any self respecting craft brewery releasing a beer that tastes like this on purpose...
