Roast malt and toffee dominate the aroma. Coffee presence is minimal. Touch of chocolate.
Flavor is roasty and rich, again with toffee dominance, tons of dark chocolate, and quite a bit of acidity, with a roasty, moderately bitter, charred finish. Makes a great base beer for a barrel.

Poured from a bomber into a snifter with an inch of dense tan foam that settled into a quarter inch of froth. Expecting more of a coffee aroma, but hit mostly with bitter, alcohol smell. Tastes much better than it smells, well-balanced coffee bitterness with hints of dark chocolate. Foam sticks around awhile, which lends a nice thick, creaminess to what I was afraid was going to be a thin beer. So far, everything I've from Triple Digit has been top notch!

Purchased July 15, 2015 enjoyed November 13, 2015 from a bottle in a Hopslam tulip/snifter.
Look - Brown with red tint. Thick khaki head. Fine to medium bubbles. Lacing. Head settles to a ring.
Smell - Coffee. Sweet chocolate. Musty hop. Very simple.
Taste - Coffee is mute. Sweet chocolate is strong. Char. Tootsie Roll.
Feel - Creamy. Heavy. No burn.
Overall - Very average stout. Take the label off and slap on any other microbrewery's coffee stout label. Not bad.

I like this because the coffee smell and taste are not over powering enough that you can still taste the grain. Wonderful color and head. Will seek out again

Tap. Poured black color with an average frothy brown head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy roasted coffee, chocolate and alcohol aroma. Medium to abundant body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy roasted coffee sweet flavor with a medium to heavy complex sweet finish of moderate to long duration. My high expectations where met with a solid drinkable beer.

This is an Amazing Stout! Poured into a pint glass from a 24 oz bomber bottle shared with a friend who got it from Cincinnati.
Solid, rich flavor with a very pleasant roasted, chocolate, coffee aroma. As is the case with many of the better stouts, this beer has great thick and creamy mouthfeel.
Would love to try this one again along side the other great imperial stouts.

Enjoyed from the bottle in a snifter. This FINE Imperial Coffee Stout pours a deep muddy black with a beautiful brown head of slowly dissipating foam and impressive lacing. Nose of rich coffee, dark bakers chocolate, and light smoke. Flavors surpass the nose with strong coffee flavors on all sides, rich bakers chocolate notes come through on the back blending with a dark berry flavor reminiscent of raspberries as well as a moderately strong sherry note that culminates into a symposium of fudge and light smoke notes. Chewy and full mouth feel, slick and very coating, with moderate carbonation makes for a smooth sipper. Strong booze comes through on the background finishing with a fudge and dark coffee note that is pleasing.
As the bottle states, it is ALWAYS stout season. The little lady and I could NOT agree more. Stout lovers, take note, this is exceptional.
