This beer pours black in color and is topped with an inch of tan head that leaves spotty lacing and an oily film on the sides of the glass.
The aroma is dark fruit, booze, and roasted and smoked malt.
The taste is dark cherry and plum with dark chocolate. Then I taste smoked malt as well as the roasted malt. There is a boozy bite near the finish.
It's thinner than I would prefer a ba stout.
It's an interesting beer. I don't think I'd rush out to buy another but definitely worth a try.
