22 fl. oz. bottle
Served in an oversized wine glass
This beer pours rust colored with copper highlights. It is capped with an inch of tan head that leaves some decent lacing.
I get an oaky, boozy aroma with some earthiness.
It begins sweet with a mild fruity flavor. Through the middle I pick up some alcohol. It finishes bitter.
Medium body and carbonation.
I like Listermann, and I like wheatwines; however, this beer just doesn't do it for me. I had it on tap at the taproom, and the bottle was marginally better. It is not a bad beer, but it just doesn't capture the style to my unsophisticated palate. I am glad to have had a bottle of it but would not reach for another.

Enjoyed form the 22 oz bottle in a snifter. This nice wheatwine pours a beautiful deep apricot amber with an off white head that subsides to a thick ring, nice pooling layer, and nice light lacing. Nose of rich wheat, subtle banana, and sweet honey. Flavors exceed the nose with honey and wheat on the front middle and sides with subtle banana notes and a light herbal hop flavor on the back that is balanced with a warming aftertaste. Nice mouth feel with light carbonation that makes for a slick and lightly coating ale that finishes subtly dry. Overall, the best I have had since Bell's Wheat Love Series which I was very fond of. Substantial and nice which should age well for a few years.
Cheers
