Served in a snifter
This beer pours very dark brown. Ruby highlights are only visible when held to the light. It is topped with less than an inch of tan head that leaves little lacing.
The allspice really comes through. The chocolate and orange peels are there. I don't smell any ginger.
The taste is a 180 from the smell. I don't taste any of the all spice. I get caramel and vanilla from the bourbon barrel aging. Chocolate is present. Those flavors meld really well to make a great tasting experience. The allspice comes through as it warms.
Medium bodied with a silky smooth mouthfeel
Listermann kills it with a lot of their barrel aged beers. This one is no exception. Very enjoyable.

Look - dark thick great head
Smell - all spice ginger bourbon and brandy
Taste - very sweet spiced up with those liquors
Feel - medium creamy light carbonation.
