12 fl. oz. bottle
Served in a snifter
This beer pours very dark brown. Ruby highlights are visible when held to the light. It was topped with a fleeting tan head that leaves no lacing.
I get caramel and vanilla on the nose. After it warms a bit I get a chocolate covered cherry smell.
The taste starts out like the smell. I get vanilla and caramel, but I also get some bourbon. There is some chocolate, and the cherry is very subtle.
Smooth and viscous with low carbonation
This one goes on the list of good to great bourbon barrel aged beers that Triple Digit has done. I enjoy it very much but the cherry is pretty hidden. That may be my fault for not drinking it sooner, so I won't hold it against them.
