A fantastic stout enjoyed in a snifter via a growler from Jungle Jim's Fairfield.
This nice stout pours a deep coal black with muddy brown highlights and a
beautiful head of light tan foam that settles to a thick ring, swirling sudsy layer,
and features some excellent lacing. Nose of black berries and deeply roasted malts touched
with char. Flavors NAIL the style with lightly tart black berries surrounded by bakers cocoa
and light cream that mingle nicely with deeply roasted malts and char with a light hint of
wood on the rear. Excellent mouth feel; smooth, rich, lightly creamy, lightly warming,
full body, and low carbonation.
A near perfect stout and one of the better fruited stouts I have had to date.
EXCELLENT!
Cheers
