This one pours a dark syrupy looking brown, with a small head, and not much lacing.
This smells like Willy Wonka levels of sweetness- with sweet gooey caramel, hazelnut syrup, sweet bourbon, vanilla cream, and chocolate fudge.
These Chickow variants are all very sweet, so you have to go into it knowing that. It's good for small amounts. The hazelnut flavor melds really well with the added caramel. It is definitely reminiscent of chocolate turtles. I'm not sure I actually get pecan flavor, but just a sweet overarching nuttiness from the hazelnut. It feels like the sort of hazelnut syrup you'd dump into coffee to make it not like taste like coffee. It's tasty, but I definitely would prefer some toastiness to help balance things. There's lots of fudgy chocolate, and a bit of toffee. The barrel is light- I don't get oak, but there is slight bourbon, and lots of vanilla. You don't really the 11% of booziness here- the alcohol is hidden pretty well.
This has low carbonation, with a thick, syrupy, and gloopy body. It's a definite slow sipper.
This is pasty decadence at it's most egregious. It's very tasty, but it hard to construe it as actual beer.
