Decent IPA. I have some good Listermann before that I thought was quite good, but this is kind of a let down. Doesn’t come off as a NE style either. Mostly herbal and piney hops followed by some grapefruit.

Released 6/6/20; drank 6/13/20 @ the Yarchives.
Opaque dull orange appearance.
A violent pour yielded a big eggshell head; a thick curtain of lace.
Lemon, cream, mild oat & faint dry grass notes in the nose.
Creamy, soft medium mouthfeel.
Lemon & cream flavors up front; dry grapefruit notes in the finish.
Close, but no cigar; nearly an above average NE IPA, but it's a bit too dry. Still, it will do in a pinch.

A - This is a superbly murky pour, dark orange, big off-white head, rocky, with lots of lines of varied lacing. Lots of flaky white hop notes.
S - A hit of resin and onion-like hop greenery, with an underlying citrus note that offers grapefruit and tangerine tartness.
T - Pungent orange core, with a juice foundation, zesty brightness, a hint of resin, and a mildly pithy bitterness in the finish.
M - Mild carbonation, soft blanket on the tongue, mild resin build and a juice-like acidity in the close.
O - Bright and tasty, this is an IPA that comes very close to some of the NE IPAs standards that founded the style. Delicious and well-built.
